Since 1983, Flea and Red Hot Chili Peppers have thrilled millions of fans and inspired musicians around the world with their high energy blend of rock, rap, alternative and funk. Flea and RHCP have sold 75 million albums, been nominated for 16 Grammys and won 7. In June 2011, Flea was voted the second best bassist of all time by the readers of Rolling Stone magazine. In 2001 Flea founded the Silverlake Conservatory of Music, a school dedicated to help young people progress in music.
