BIO

Roger Lima has been at the heart of Less Than Jake since the band’s inception in 1992, helping to shape the sonic identity of one of ska-punk’s most enduring and influential acts. As bassist, co-lead vocalist, and songwriter, Roger is known for his relentless energy, gritty melodic vocal delivery, and rock-solid low-end that bridges punk urgency with ska groove. His bass lines are as much about rhythm and pocket as they are about power—elevating LTJ’s horn-infused sound and giving their songs the unmistakable drive that’s made them a staple on stages around the globe.

Over a career spanning more than 30 years, Roger has recorded numerous full-length albums, EPs, and live releases with Less Than Jake, including genre-defining records like Losing Streak, Hello Rockview, and Anthem. His performance style is a blend of punk attitude and musical discipline—aggressive, precise, and always in the moment. Beyond Less Than Jake, Roger has produced and engineered for a range of artists, and fronts side projects like Rehasher, showcasing his versatility as a musician and producer.

A true road warrior, Roger has toured across six continents and performed everywhere from tiny clubs to massive festival stages. His commitment to his craft and his fans is evident in every note he plays and every show he plays—whether it's Warped Tour, Slam Dunk, or headlining venues packed with longtime followers.

Roger is currently using Gallien-Krueger’s Legacy 1200 on tour and in the studio with Less than Jake.
